Intoxicated Youths Assault Police Team During Raid in Jalandhar
A violent attack occurred on a police team during a raid in Jalandhar's Patara village. Two officers were injured as intoxicated youths wielding sharp weapons assaulted the Patara police station personnel. Acting on confidential information about drug activity at Trilok Lal alias Harman Sandhu alias Sonu's residence, the police conducted the raid. Harman Sandhu Sonu, upon opening the door, launched a vicious attack on the officers, leaving Officer Jasveer Singh seriously injured and Head Constable Barjinder Pal wounded. Harman and his associates then hurled bricks and stones from the rooftop while verbally abusing the officers before fleeing. The accused have been identified, and an FIR has been lodged against them under various sections of the IPC. Police are actively pursuing the attackers for apprehension.
