In recent rallies across Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing them of a desperate "Mission-50" to secure at least 50 seats amidst internal conflicts. Modi mocked the alliance between Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP), suggesting it was doomed from the start and that blame games are already being planned for their expected defeat.
He criticized both parties for being family-centric, corrupt, and lenient towards terrorists, contrasting this with the BJP's efforts to reduce mafia influence and enhance safety for women. Modi further accused Congress of wanting to end reservations for Dalits and backward classes, portraying this as appeasement politics. He also lambasted Congress for allegedly giving Pakistan a clean chit after attacks on India and promoting the idea of "saffron terrorism."
Modi's speeches aimed to discredit the opposition and reinforce BJP's governance record as Uttar Pradesh heads to elections.
