During the 15th over, du Plessis leaped to his full height at long-off to grab a low full toss hit by Santner, delivered by Mohammed Siraj. His incredible athleticism brought an end to Santner’s innings and left both the RCB team and CSK dugout in awe. Virat Kohli and other teammates rushed in to celebrate this remarkable feat.
Earlier, du Plessis also shone with the bat, scoring 54 off 39 balls, including three fours and three sixes. His innings ended with a contentious run-out. Kohli also contributed significantly with a 47 off 29 balls. Together, they added 78 runs for the first wicket. Following their dismissals, contributions from Cameron Green (38 off 17), Rajat Patidar (41 off 23), Glenn Maxwell (16 off 5), and Dinesh Karthik (14 off 6) helped RCB post a formidable 218/5.
In reply, CSK struggled, losing captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Daryl Mitchell early. Despite Rachin Ravindra's valiant 61 off 37 balls, CSK couldn't chase down the target, finishing short by 27 runs. This victory secured RCB's spot in the playoffs.
