Weather Turns 360 Degrees in Rajasthan: Hailstorms, Storms, and Rain Prompt Alert in 31 Districts Today
Rajasthan's weather is undergoing a dramatic shift. Amid the blistering heat, several districts experienced a sudden change in weather on Friday afternoon. Gram-sized hailstones pelted down along with rain in some areas, while others witnessed fierce storms. In Jaipur and Sikar, a strong thunderstorm swept through the evening, accompanied by scattered light rain, offering a reprieve from the heat. Meanwhile, hail was reported in Bansur, Alwar, and Nathdwara, Rajsamand, where the mercury plummeted to 38 degrees Celsius.
Rain and Storm Alert Continues
The Meteorological Department warns of possible rain and thunderstorms in many districts of Rajasthan on Saturday, with the likelihood of this weather pattern persisting until May 13. This shift is attributed to a newly active western disturbance affecting Rajasthan since Friday, triggering rainfall along with storms.
The department suggests that relief from the ongoing heatwave is plausible due to this weather system. Consequently, temperatures in several cities across the state may drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. This weather phase is expected to persist on Saturday across various districts, including the capital, Jaipur.
Weather Alert for Rajasthan
The Meteorological Department forecasts rain in 31 districts of the state on May 11. Additionally, storm and rain alerts are issued for divisions including Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota, Jaipur, and Bharatpur.

बारिश और तूफ़ान की चेतावनी जारी है
मौसम विभाग ने शनिवार को राजस्थान के कई जिलों में संभावित बारिश और तूफान की चेतावनी दी है, मौसम का यह मिजाज 13 मई तक बने रहने की संभावना है। इस बदलाव के लिए शुक्रवार से राजस्थान को प्रभावित करने वाले एक नए सक्रिय पश्चिमी विक्षोभ को जिम्मेदार ठहराया गया है, जिससे तूफान के साथ बारिश शुरू हो गई है।
विभाग का सुझाव है कि इस मौसम प्रणाली के कारण चल रही गर्मी से राहत मिलना संभव है। नतीजतन, राज्य भर के कई शहरों में तापमान 2 से 4 डिग्री सेल्सियस तक गिर सकता है। मौसम का यह दौर शनिवार को भी राजधानी जयपुर सहित विभिन्न जिलों में बने रहने की उम्मीद है।
राजस्थान के लिए मौसम अलर्ट
मौसम विभाग ने 11 मई को प्रदेश के 31 जिलों में बारिश का अनुमान जताया है। साथ ही बीकानेर, जोधपुर, अजमेर, उदयपुर, कोटा, जयपुर और भरतपुर समेत संभागों के लिए तूफान और बारिश का अलर्ट जारी किया है।
