Three Smugglers Arrested with 28 kg of Illegal Doda Poppy in Rajasthan

May 28, 2024: Police in Rajasthan have apprehended three smugglers in possession of 28 kg of illegal doda poppy. This bust occurred in the Karnal district of Haryana.

According to police sources, the accused were transporting a consignment of doda poppy from Uttarkashi to Haryana. Acting on a tip-off about the large shipment, the police set up a blockade and intercepted the vehicle. 

Search and Arrest: Upon searching the vehicle, police recovered 28 kg of doda poppy and arrested the three smugglers on the spot.

Legal Action: A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act. Authorities are investigating the origins of the doda poppy and its intended destination.
