Alleged Assault at Chief Minister's Residence: Delhi Police Investigating
In an unexpected turn of events, Delhi Police received distress calls on Monday morning allegedly from Swati Maliwal, an AAP leader, claiming assault at the Chief Minister's residence.

According to police sources, two successive calls were made from the Chief Minister's residence in Civil Lines. The caller, identifying herself as Swati Maliwal, sought emergency assistance after reportedly facing assault.

One call, placed around 9:30 AM, purported that Maliwal was assaulted by an aide to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, named Bibhav Kumar. However, upon police arrival, Maliwal was brought to the station for further investigation, as per protocol dictating police entry into the Chief Minister's residence without prior permission.

DCP North Manoj Meena stated, "One PCR call at 9:34 AM has been received at PS Civil Lines from a lady saying she was assaulted at Chief Minister's house. After some time, MP madam came to PS Civil Lines, but she left stating she would file a complaint later."

The sequence of events unfolded with Maliwal's visit to the Chief Minister's residence around 9:10 AM, seeking a meeting with Arvind Kejriwal, which was denied by his staff. Subsequently, at 9:31 AM, Maliwal contacted the police control room seeking assistance, eventually leading to the calls to the North control room at 9:34 AM.

Upon investigation, it was revealed through police diary entries that the caller alleged a confrontation between the Chief Minister and his aide, Bibhav Kumar, leading to assault.
